The Grizzl-E Charger uses a minimal amount of power when it is plugged in. Only the status indicator LED and the Smart units' Wi-Fi module are operational when the vehicle is not charging.
It is very similar to the digital clock on your oven. When not in use, the digital clock on the oven uses a tiny amount of power, but this is not noticeable in your electricity bill.

Grizzl-E and Grizzl-E Smart are Energy Star Certified, meaning that Energy Star has verified the efficiency both plugged in and not plugged in.
